Finance Toolbox

Ebates– If you do all your shopping online (especially for Christmas shopping) then you have to use Ebates to maximize your savings. When I first saw it being advertised I was reluctant because didn’t believe people actually got checks for just making purchases online. I decided to give in and try it out and it’s been really handy. Not only do you get a percentage back from your purchase but summarizes all the sales available and coupon codes for each store.

Ibotta– Out of all the apps for saving on groceries this one is one of my favorites. Most other apps out there you have to make sure to save the item prior to purchasing the product, otherwise you don’t get credit. Also, there isn’t a variety of selection with other apps. With Ibotta you can load the product to your app before or after(keep in mind they do have a deadline so make sure to pay attention to that) submitting your receipt and still get credit. Plus sometimes they have bonuses available to help you earn more. Give Ibotta a try with this referral link and you can start out with $10 as a welcome bonus!

Tools that keep me Organized

NeatReceipts Mobile Scanner – This scanner saves me time when it comes to keeping track of my medical expenses. I’ve had this scanner since 2015 and it’s been a life changer. No more having to sort through receipts and then adding all up all the amounts to come up with my total expense for the year when it’s tax season. The really nice feature I like about it is that once you scan the receipt the date, amount, and vendor automatically populate and total amount gets updated. How cool is that? You don’t have to be typing in all the information. It also smooths out any creases and rotates the image if needed so you don’t waste time having to re-scan to capture a good image.

Books I recommed

How to Win Friends & Influence People-This book is such an eye opener and can help you succeed in your personal life. Carnegie’s advice can be applied to various situations and aspects of your own life. Being an introvert myself I thought I would read this for personal growth and it’s really helped me see things in a new light. I highly recommend this as this has greatly inspired me to make some changes in my life. Audio version is also available which makes this a great book to listen to in those long commutes.

Eat That Frog!: 21 Great Ways to Stop Procrastinating and Get More Done in Less Time– This book really helped me learn about productivity. I know every mom out there can benefit from that whether in the work place or at home. It really makes you rethink your current system and motivates you to improve it.
